Όταν πέσει η νύχτα, μην το οδηγείς με βιάση,
Ψάξε την άγκυρα της σωτηρίας - τη σωτηρία θά βρεις...
Μα αν το τέλος της νύχτας δεν μπορείς να δεις
Και δίχως άγκυρα μέσα στη νύχτα πλέεις,
Ρίξου στη θάλασσα χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη!
Το κύμα θα σε ξεβράσει και ας χαθεί το πλοίο!

Αιώνια θάλασσα,
στον ήλιο και τ’ άστρα να δοθώ άσε με,
της νύχτας το σύθαμπο, της αυγής το χαμόγελο
να καθρεφτίζουν στο βλέμμα μου άσε.
Αιώνια θάλασσα,
τον πόνο μου πάρε, γιάνε, διάλυσε,
την καρδιά με την άλμη σου πότισε,
τη σιωπή με τη βοή σου ξεκούρασε.
Αιώνια θάλασσα,
Στα νερά σου παραδίδω το πνεύμα μου αδύναμο!

Το άστρο φωτεινό τα κύματα χαϊδεύουν,

Τη θάλασσα λατρεύει, την πιστεύει
Δεν την κατηγορεί, δεν κατακρίνει...

Σαν σμήνος γερανών σε χώρα μακρινή,
Ο θεϊκός αφρός τους βασιλιάδες ραίνει -
Πού πλέετε; Αν δεν ήταν η Ελένη,
Την Τροία τι την θέλατε, Αχαιοί;
Θάλασσα, Όμηρος - ο έρως τους κινεί.
Ποιον άραγε ν΄ακούσω; Ο Όμηρος σωπαίνει.
Κι η μαύρη θάλασσα πολυλογεί, βαραίνει

¨Post-cards: I, II, III and ΙV¨ Mixed media, overpainted postcards 10*15 each
Three old postcards of Zakynthos island that date from 1980s become the new statement of a summer colorful reference to blue color: overpainted, old lithographs are mixed with sketches of shells and collage while blue on the sun or the sea waters overflows. The artist sends a message to himself at the last one postcard- with an open shell and a tribute to what blue semiotics are. Blue for pain, blue for the open sky or the waters where we come from. A reference to the changes of time, passages from the era of 1980 till 2020 where coronovirus has altered the way of living of man. Nature will always wait for us. Blue will always be there/The island will be there. Nature will wait just a little longer.
